Bachelor in Paradise! The Bachelor Beauty Blog Is BACK!

Tomorrow night Australia will get its first taste of the Bachelor In Paradise. A spin-off of that takes some of our favourites (including favourite villains) to a desert island, to have a second chance at love with each other.

The extended first look trailer was just realised by Channel 10 and there is so much to be excited about. But for me the main excitement is around the new setting. Being away from the mansion means the opportunity for way more makeup looks! On the normal Bachelor and Bachelorette the makeup looks are a cycle of smokey eyes with nude lips, red lips with simple eyes and sometimes dramatic eyes AND bold lips. (check out my blogs to see the proof) This is because in the mansion the girls are either dressed for a cocktail party or a fancy date. But with the Bachelor in Paradise, the Island setting is a lot more relaxed. So I suspect we will see a lot more natural makeup looks.

Au-Natural

It would be great to see some of the beautiful ladies not wearing makeup at all!
Since I don’t know about you but I don’t wear makeup if I am swimming under a stunning waterfall.

All Natural and not just in terms of makeup 😉

Dewy Over Matte

In the last few seasons of the Bachelor, the matte lip trend has been really strong, and the matte powdery look for the foundation is always good for television as it means people don’t look shiny. But with the Island setting I don’t think we will see as much Matte, instead, I think the ladies will go for lighter dewy and luminous makeup. It will be interesting to see if they do just look a bit oiled up or not.

Keira is looking pretty shinny! and Florence looks pretty shocked about it!

Beachy Waves

Normally in Bachelor world the go to hairstyle for the ladies is classic full curls as they are very glamourous. However, with the beach setting, I don’t think we will see as much of this instead everyone will look like they have just come from swimming with beachy waves which are a lot looser and casual.

Everyone’s fave bogan queen sporting the beachy waves. <3

Island Fever

Fashion-wise, since they are in Fiji, we are going to see so many tropical florals.
Hawaiian shirts for the men and light summer dresses for the girls. However, this may get very repetitive and by the end, we may want to burn all the Hawaiian shirts Osher is wearing.

This first of sooooooooo many Hawaiian Shirts for Osher I am sure.

Sunburn

Famous rat faced Jarrod is back but this time I don’t think he will be the only one with sunburn. It’s so easy to forget to regularly apply sunscreen so I think a few people will forget while all that drama is going down. Let’s hope they packed the aloe vera gel!

I am sure Jarrod won’t be the only one left red-faced this season!

Pink Lips Over Red Lips

Normally on the Bachelor bright red lipstick is a go-to for many of the ladies. It ties nicely into the shows colour theme, especially with the red roses. Instead of the Bachelor in Paradise, I predict we will see a lot more pink lipsticks than red, again it’s more casual and goes better with the island setting. I was hoping they would swap the red roses out for pink roses as a point of difference but from the previews that doesn’t appear to be the case. I guess the red rose is so iconic with the Bachelor brand.

All three girls, wearing florals and sporting pink lips and beachy waves. Just saying.

At the end of the day, I think all the looks will be a lot more casual than the traditional Bachelor. I am so excited to see what happens!

The Bachelor Beauty Blog will be a witty (if I do say so myself) recap of each episode and a review of the makeup looks. The makeup successes and fails, along with fun makeup tips and tricks.
